Welcome to "No Promise Have I Made"

Welcome to the blog. This is NOT a picture of me.

I have been blogging off and on for the better part of eight years. Over that time, many people (including my parents, friends, and employer) found out who I "really" was. It wasn't exactly a secret or anything. I'm not wanted by the law nor am I on any watch lists (that I know of). But once I knew that my parents, for example, read my blog, I had a hard time remaining as candid and honest as I had been. Consciously or not, there were things that I just stopped talking about when I realized that people I see at work everyday were reading it, as well.

So, in order to free myself from that constraint, I am starting over. Goodbye thousands of readers. Hello, new friends. My name is...Howard. Yeah, that's it. Howard Davis. And on my new blog, I will be writing about/discussing/analyzing/mocking music, film, politics, podcasts, porn, social media, and whatever the hell else I feel like posting about.
